• Ms Alison Jacob

Since the beginning of 2006, Alison Jacob has been Deputy Secretary (Human Services) with responsibility for Children and Family Services, Youth Justice, Housing Services and Disability Services. Prior to this appointment, Alison worked for thirty years in the Department of Education and was most recently Deputy Secretary (School Education).

Alison is a registered psychologist who also has a Masters degree in special education and a particular interest in people with disabilities and special needs. She was instrumental in the establishment of early learning services and education for children with severe disabilities in this State.
