• Mrs Kathryn Thomas

Kathryn is a Global Learning Consultant within the Learning and Knowledge team in IBM and is currently leading their global team with responsibility for a range of core professional development education

Kathryn previously worked as a teacher and Early Childhood Consultant with the Tasmanian Education Department in the 1980s.  During these years she was involved with the Australian Early Childhood Association, Kindergarten Teachers Association and the Tasmanian Early Childhood Senior Staff Association.  She was a member of the Board and subsequently chair of Lady Gowrie Tasmania from 1997-1999.

She was a finalist in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year – Tasmania 2006; Nominee in IBM’s Asia Pacific Top Talent, Executive Resources Program2006 ongoing.  She has been a Board Member of the Tasmanian Leaders Program since 2005 and is actively involved in the National Breast Cancer Foundation and is a member of their Speaker's Bureau.  In 2008 she has been invited to join the new Polytechnic Board a part of the Tasmania Tomorrow education initiative.
