• Board

The Tasmanian Early Years Foundation Act 2005 provides that the Foundation is governed by a Board comprising of ten members:

• seven persons appointed by the responsible Minister (currently the Minister for Children) who have the skills and experience to further the objectives of the Foundation;
• the Commissioner for Children;
• the Secretary, Department of Premier and Cabinet (or representative); and
• the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services (or representative).

An observer from the Department of Education is invited to attend Board meetings.
