These values and principles underpin the commitment of the Tasmanian Early Years Foundation to enhance the wellbeing of Tasmanian children and to assist in building nurturing and supportive family relationships.  In doing this work the Foundation will:

• Vigorously promote the objectives and functions of the Foundation pursuant to The Tasmanian Early Years Foundation Act 2005.
• Champion initiatives to support and promote the wellbeing, development and learning of Tasmanian children up to the age of six years.
• Encourage working in a consultative way to promote the importance of early childhood.
• Support the engagement of all Tasmanians through awareness of early years activities.
• Be accountable to the community through the Parliament.
